Entry for February 23, 2008 First shed of the year (found in mid January)
I have had some luck in finding sheds early this year, the first one was found in mid January and a few more with in the following week. I also found a nice 4x5 mule deer buck that had died some time in December. If this is any sign of what's to come this should be a great shed season. You can view the video clips and pictures of what I have found so far on my web site, all up coming shed hunting will be documented through video and posted there as well.

i typicly start shed hunting 20th of january however i have yet to find sheds this season

I started shedding pretty much jan 1st. But i am a paid shed hunter i work in forest industry so i am out in the woods all week long! Didnt pick up my first freshy until last weekend decent 3 point but i am waiting for all the snow ot melt befoire i hammer it hard for the big fella's My nuber is at 35 for the year so far hope to break 100 and get my adverage back up there :D

I usually start when ever the snow is gone.But i might start looking earlier now.Good find
