Entry for March 4, 2008 Cougar kill
I found this cougar kill this morning, there was not much left of the deer and the cougar tracks seemed to be fairly old, I'm guessing it had been a week or so since it had been there. This is the third cougar kill I have come across this winter. The first one I found, I actually seen the cougar he was watching me from a rock ledge about 60 yards up above me, as soon as I seen him and our eyes met he was gone.

I wouldnt want to hike around with cougars.Do you carry a gun ?

No not usually,but I dont think chances on being attacked by a cougar are to high.But it does happen hoprfully not to me.
